Born in the Netherlands, partially raised in Germany by a mother who is a songwriter and piano teacher and by a father who is an opera singer, music was a naturally given gift, genetically passed on, a way to communicate your mood and your feelings. As far as she can remember- the teachers always gave her the first voice for every recital. "I just did it as it came natural to me, not realizing at that point that it really would be a profession that I would end up with" she laughs. "I remember standing in front of the mirror with a brush, singing along with my Mom's old vinyl singles that I found in the attic." Music by the Beatles, Stevie Wonder and Diana Ross or the Jackson 5, while her father was downstairs, singing and listening to his classical music. She was 16 years old when she started to entertain the thought about becoming a professional singer but always had a sense of strong responsibility and felt that she had to finish her school education first and have a job to always have a back up plan to then support her passion.

How Can I Tell You Lyrics

Amber

I think of how you feel
And I think about your smile
I think of all the love you gave to me
And how it passed me by
I'm very scared to let you know
That it's not as it used to be
And now I have to let you go
You're no longer with me
How can I tell you it's over?
That the birds do not fly
How can I tell you the truth?
That there's no sun in the sky
How can I tell you? That the earth is not round
How can I tell you? How should I sound?
How can I tell you? That it's the only truth I've found
I think of your trust
And how you lived for me
I think of all the thoughts your thinking
What you expect from me
I know that you will fall apart
But I stick to the truth
I really have to follow my heart
The voice within me
I avoid your eyes
When they look at me
But I have to face
Truth and reality
I avoid your eyes
When they look at me
But I have to face
Truth and reality- reality
